Julie Hanna
Julie Hanna is an entrepreneur, investor, and advisor working with purpose-driven companies to solve some of humanity’s most pressing challenges. She is a Venture Partner at Obvious Ventures, special advisor to (Google) X, board member at Mozilla Corporation, and an early investor in companies including Lyft, Lending Club (NYSE: LC), and Bonobos (acquired by Walmart).
Hanna has been founder, CEO, and/or founding executive of five B2C and B2B venture-backed companies from startup to scale-up, including Healtheon (NASDAQ: WBMD), VoIP pioneer onebox.com (acquired by phone.com), and Portola (acquired by Netscape).
Since 2009, Hanna has served as Executive Chairwoman of Kiva, inventor of the crowdfunding model and the world’s largest lending marketplace for underserved entrepreneurs. In 2015, President Obama appointed her Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship to help develop the next generation of entrepreneurs in the U.S. and abroad.
