Dr Elizabeth Kvale

Dr. Kvale is one of the country's foremost experts in the overlapping domains in supportive care of cancer patients, cancer survivorship and palliative care. Currently, she oversees supportive care and survivorship at the Livestrong Cancer Institutes and is the Palliative Care Section Chief at Dell Medical School in Austin. She is pioneering a new model of cancer care with the CaLM Concept. Kvale’s scholarly contributions to palliative medicine are significant. Her research is primarily focused on end of life care in underserved, underrepresented, and safety net populations, as well as interventions to improve the quality of life for older cancer survivors. She has participated in teaching medical students, residents, fellows, doctoral students, and peers and has authored more than 56 publications.
