Jabber Al-Bihani
The son of Yemeni immigrants, Jabber Al-Bihani Jr. is a community builder developing meaningful relationships and experiences through the all-powerful food. Born and raised in the diverse neighborhood of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Jabber was exposed to global tastes at a young age. His appreciation for food was inspired by the flavorful dishes made by his friends’ immigrant mothers and the nostalgic memories they shared with the feasts.
After completing his studies in Civil & Environmental Engineering at Temple University, Jabber ventured off for his first backpacking trip through the Middle East and Europe. Further fascinated by food-centric cultures he encountered memorable food adventures with fellow travelers; Jabber returned home with a new sense of purpose.
Komeeda is created to leverage technology to encourage cross-cultural experiences through food. Today, Jabber operates Komeeda as the CEO and an ambassador of Gastrodiplomacy along with his co-founder, Nas Jab. Through his works, he has created a community comprised of restaurants, bakeries, chefs, and food lovers who come together to the table for Fun Eating Experiences.
