John Fistner
John Fistner is a hands-on entrepreneur who utilized his experience as CFO, COO and partner in a hospital network, to create companies leveraging inefficiencies in the healthcare market and beyond. John is the founder of three companies (JDR Consulting, FM Cost Containment, AblePay Health) and a non-profit (Red Door Early Learning Center).
Founded in 2012, JDR is a niche healthcare consulting company primarily focused on Pennsylvania workers compensation reimbursement for hospitals.
FM Cost Containment was founded and funded in 2014. FMCC is national sales and use tax audit and recovery company. John successfully exited FMCC in 2018.
John launched AblePay in 2016 to address the impact that increasing deductibles and coinsurance is have on consumers, employers and providers. By closing the billing information gap between patients and providers, and delivering savings, payment flexibility, and convenience to healthcare consumers, AblePay solves a market need not satisfied traditional health insurance plans.
Red Door Early Learning Center is non-profit preschool that John cofounded. Red Door is currently attended by over 150 three, four, and five year old's each year serving a need for STEAM based education in his community.
John attended Lafayette College (’00) where he was a Captain, First Team All Patriot League and All East Coast Athletic Conference Linebacker. He received an MBA in Finance from Lehigh University (’04) while building the hospital network.
Born and raised in Bethlehem, Pa., he currently resides in the area with his wife Trisha, and three sons, Jack, Dylan and Ryan. John coached football at Freedom High School before devoting his time to help coach his children who play baseball, basketball and football at varying levels.
