David Brooks
David Brooks is a director of animated, hybrid, and live-action content for television and commercials. He began his career in his hometown of Chicago and quickly found a passion for stop-motion animation. After directing a number of award-winning animated shorts, he headed to NYC to work with Robert Smigel and Saturday Night Live, directing segments for Saturday TV Funhouse, namely the perennial holiday sketch, “Christmastime for the Jews”. Shortly thereafter, he made the cross-country leap to Los Angeles. He joined Stoopid Buddy Stoodios as the Creative Director and Executive Producer of the Spots division. The studio is known for its comedic series like Robot Chicken, SuperMansion and Hot Streets and David has leveraged artists and storytellers with this experience to work on a variety of branded content. He has directed commercials for Target, Carl’s Jr., Goldfish Crackers, Ziploc, Easy Off and Denny’s, to name a few,
