Brian Frasure
Brian Frasure was a highly promising freshman runner at the University of North Carolina, Raleigh, when an accident cause him to lose his right foot. Within two years, his talent and extraordinary grit won out, and he was tagged by a world-record-holding coach as Paralympic sprinting's next champion.
From 1996 to 2008, Brian took home 32 gold medals and first-place finishes in major competitions, plus five world records.
He has spent the past 13 years working with prosthetic manufacturers to advance bionic technology by providing input to R&D teams and fine tuning the devices in the market place. As a certified Prosthetist, he even fit Oscar Pistorius with his running blades, which he then used to break Brian's own world record.
Brian now utilizes his skills and experience to advance human performance in sport by conducting amputee fitness clinics internationally in order to help amputees achieve their fitness goals.
