Scout Bassett

After a fire took her right left from above the knee down, abandoned infant, Scout Bassett grew up inside a Chinese orphanage until the age of 7 when she was adopted by an American family. Sports helped her breakthrough the cultural and social barriers she felt and, through running, she emerged as a world record holder, Paralympic competitor and hopeful for the 2020 Tokyo games.
