Carlo Rich

Carlo Rich leads health innovation projects and collaborations with both enterprise and start-up health technology companies for the American Heart Association’s Center for Health Technology & Innovation. Carlo has unique experience and insight having worked with health tech companies across the healthcare continuum that are focused on improving health outcomes through technology. His work with the American Heart Association includes creating and developing the annual Health Tech Competition which showcases some of the most innovative start-ups in healthcare, leading the collaboration with Google to develop an augmented reality version of Hands-Only CPR Training, leading the development and strategy for several patient and consumer facing AHA owned mobile and web applications, leading program development for the American Heart Association’s Health Tech & Innovation Forum which brings together the best in academia and industry to discuss innovation in the space, and actively working with the AHA’s Health Tech Advisory Group whose members include some of the top minds in cardiovascular health. Carlo is an advocate for blockchain and its potential to make a positive impact on healthcare as well as other industries and is a cryptocurrency enthusiast.
