Scott Fulbright

Scott became inspired by nature while teaching sailing during the summers at Michigan State University. This experience led him to do research in an algal ecology laboratory to better understand toxic algal blooms. Subsequently, he researched algal production for nearly two years at a venture capital-funded algal biofuels company in El Paso, Texas. He went on to get his doctorate from Colorado State University where he led R&D projects in both academia and industry. While in graduate school he co-founded Living Ink, a startup company transforming algae into eco-friendly printing ink products. The company has won numerous awards from the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy and the state of Colorado.
