Shawn Ellis

Shawn is Managing Director at NFP Ventures. His investment perspective draws on experience in operational, strategic and investment contexts. Previously, as President of Zest Health, he drove company growth from concept to over half a million paid subscribers in three years.
Before Zest, Shawn focused on health care technology investments at 7wire Ventures. He was a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and began his career at Lazard Middle Market’s M&A practice.
He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Chicago. He is a member of The Economic Club of Chicago.
Shawn, his wife Sang and their three young sons live in Lincoln Park, a neighborhood on Chicago’s near north side, where they consume inordinate amounts of Jeni’s ice cream.
