I'm a first-time SXSW attendee and speaker. I'm speaking Saturday March 9 from 5-5:15 PM on "Mitigating Climate Change with Reflective Sand". This will be at The Line in the Onyx Ballroom. We'll have an after-session discussion nearby with snacks and drinks.
I'm a female founder, PhD engineer (MIT and UC Berkeley), inventor (54 patents) and concerned mom. I teach a class at Stanford each Fall on "Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Climate Change".
Our work at Ice911 has been ongoing since 2006, and we've done a dozen years of development and field testing to establish a solution that can restore Arctic ice, to stabilize climate, to give us time to get a handle on greenhouse gases. We have a terrific, brilliant team, but we can't do it alone. I'm doing this for my kids, asking myself after seeing "An Inconvenient Truth" in 2006, "If not me, who? If not now, when?". What makes you want to take action?
Hope to see you soon!
