Yonca Braeckman

Yonca is a connector and community builder with extensive experience in strategy and startup acceleration. She’s an expert at creating roadmaps
for expansion and growth as well as in national and international fundraising
efforts. She built a smart city hub in Ghent, Belgium, with an in-house acceleration program called Watt Factory for a private investors
collective. She helped build the Belgian and European tech startup ecosystem and guided many startups on their first steps abroad. Her newest venture is 'Activist Entrepreneurs' a global network and growth partner for those changing the world through entrepreneurship.
She led the voluntary organisation behind TEDxGhent for many years and is preparing to hand over the duties to new leadership, while still curating the 2018 edition. She’s passionate about science fiction and how imagination can work as a catalyst for a better world.
