Jo Ling Kent is an award-winning tv journalist, anchor, and podcast host. She was most recently the business/tech correspondent at NBC News, appearing on TODAY, NBC Nightly News and MSNBC. She led NBC News' investigations into Amazon and Facebook, the pandemic unemployment crisis, and interviewed numerous CEOs/founders and government leaders. Her reporting won an Edward R. Murrow Award and two Emmy nominations.

Previously, she was a reporter and podcast host at Fox Business Network and investigative reporter at NBC Connecticut where her team won a Peabody for coverage of the Sandy Hook school shooting. She covered the 2012 presidential race as an NBC News campaign reporter and spent five years in China as a Fulbright Scholar and journalist for ABC News and CNN.

Jo Ling graduated from Rice and earned master’s degrees from the London School of Economics and Peking University. She’s a member of the Asian American Journalists Association and serves on the board of Libraries Without Borders US.
