With 17+ years of music industry experience, Kelly is the US General Manager for WMA (Weller Media Agency), who currently work with over 100+ talent partners, across major and independent record labels, label services, management companies, unsigned artists and various brands.
Kelly launched WMA’s US operations in August 2015 and built the growing team there, taking it from just 3 people in NY to 20+ staff across NY, LA and their recently launched Nashville office, adding to the 35+ WMA staffers in London and Melbourne. As a US/UK citizen, Kelly brings with her years of experience on both sides of the pond, with an enthusiasm for creativity, innovation and connecting with audiences in authentic and meaningful ways.
Prior to WMA, she worked for Julian Casablancas’ independent imprint Cult Records, where she was responsible for managing all aspects of the label’s day-to-day activity, including digital, marketing, promotions, production and international, notably for Karen O. In London, she was at Polydor Records for over 8 years in a senior marketing role, working on a wide range of artists at all stages of careers, including Lady Gaga, Beck, Feist, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Cure and many more.
During her time at Universal Music, Kelly also won the Music Week Award for ‘Artist Marketing Campaign of the Year’ for Lady Gaga.
Kelly combines her extensive experience with a wide variety of global contacts and partners. Furthermore, she is passionate about supporting new talent within the industry, is actively involved in SheSaidSo, Women in Music, and hosts free monthly advice clinics for artists with limited resources as part of her Music Marking Mondays series in WMA’s Brooklyn Studio. She also regularly takes part in NY’s Young Women’s Leadership Network’s programs - whose ethos is to empower students to break the cycle of poverty through education - including hosting their affiliated schools for learning days at WMA.
