MARISA SECHREST (Altair Entertainment) is a producer and the live stage representative for Paramount Pictures. She is currently represented on Broadway as a co-producer of Tina Fey’s new musical "Mean Girls" and a co-producer of the musical "Waitress", featuring a score by Sara Bareilles. She has global production experience from the initial stage of optioning rights and hiring writers through out-of-town tryouts, domestic and international sit-down and touring productions, as well as exploitation of ancillary and subsidiary rights, in her capacity as an independent producer and as former EVP, Production & Business Affairs for The Araca Group. Her theatrical collaborations have garnered 3 Tony Awards, 30 Tony Nominations, 7 Drama Desk Awards and 22 Drama Desk Nominations. Marisa serves on the Board of Directors for Playwrights Horizons, a premiere Off-Broadway non-profit theatrical company, and is a member of the Juilliard Executive Committee. Marisa also lectures on Theatrical Producing at Commercial Theatre Institute and UT Austin. She is a graduate of Harvard Law School and a member of the Broadway League, as well as a former professional ballerina and entertainment attorney. See altairentertainment.nyc.
