This session is a data-driven comparison of the music markets of Argentina, Chile, and Peru with those of the United States. The four primary speaking points include consumer behavior, marketing tactics, competitive landscapes, and financing. Through this, an understanding of the importance and composition of the predominant South American music markets will be achieved. Conclusions will be formed on the best practices when organizing and promoting live music events both domestically and internationally. Concurrently, the discussion and insights shared will highlight how to market and best appeal to South American consumers at home and abroad. This session is purposed to serve promoters, marketers, and venue owners alike.
