Our physical lives are increasingly combined with digital realms — a new app, a new social network, a new way to express our digital selves. With XR challenging our notions of virtual and real, how will architects and designers harness their domain knowledge to contribute to the growing population that engage post-physical spaces? Rios Clementi Hale Studios taught a studio with students at CSU-Pomona to challenge the inherent arrangement of architecture. This session will expose the results, which challenge the visceral quality of being in a space—how it feels, coupled with what it means—while preserving the experiences of our collective memory.
