#BlackWomenLead in all walks of life, from their family roles to their purchasing power and media consumption, to the ballot box. Black women’s influence on media and popular culture is so large that Nielsen recently released a report on it, describing them as “trendsetters, brand loyalists and early adopters. Summarizing the report, The Cut wrote, “Black women are major, major, major trendsetters who shape mainstream culture. In other words, if you like pop culture, thank a black woman.” Join us for a conversation on Black women’s power to influence culture both online and offline. The panel will be followed by a Block Party.
