Ken Abdo

Ken Abdo is a partner at the national law firm of Fox Rothschild and has over 30 years of experience serving as legal counsel to artists, creators and businesses in music, film, TV, theater, media and publishing. His clients include prominent individuals, collaborators and businesses in the creative and commercial arts, including multiple GRAMMY® award recipients, gold and platinum recording artists, Emmy® award winning TV talent and productions, regional and Broadway theater talent and productions, literary authors and media talent. Ken has extensive experience working with developing, established and legacy artists and their estates.

Ken is a former professional musician and DJ. His commitment to artist advocacy and the legal profession has led him to national leadership positions including: Board of Trustees of the Recording Academy (presenters of the GRAMMY® Awards), Governor of its Chicago Chapter, Chair of the GRAMMY Foundation Entertainment Law Initiative, SXSW CLE Program Co-Chair, and National Chair of the American Bar Association Forum on the Entertainment and Sports Industries. He was an adjunct professor of Entertainment Law at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, St. Paul, MN. Ken was selected as one of Billboard’s Top Music Lawyers for 2018, Best Lawyers in America in 2017, Billboard’s 50 Attorneys of Note in the Music Business, Minnesota Attorney of the Year in 2009, Minnesota Super Lawyer every year since 2003 and has a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating. He is a published author, frequent lecturer and a regular local and national media commentator on entertainment law issues.
