Radney Wood

Radney Wood is an attorney and named partner at Vela Wood where he represents dozens of companies ranging from early-stage startups to mid-size businesses, acting as general counsel and providing them with guidance on transactions, ranging from legal matters to general operational issues.

Radney is also a world traveler, having traveled to over 55 countries and six continents since 2005. His globe trotting has included such adventures as living in Beirut, Lebanon during the Israeli bombing campaign of 2006, traveling through Athens, Greece during the country's austerity protests, and staying in Ramallah, West Bank the night the U.N. voted to recognize Palestinian Statehood. His experiences from the road have taught him there is no better way to learn than to show up and see for yourself.

The combination of his travel and work experience led Radney to co-found GlobeKick, an organization that provides cultural-immersive international-travel experience for digital professionals. Through these trips, GlobeKick helps build community and break down the barriers that separate people.
