Verena Kallhoff, PhD, MBA, is the Managing Director of CyBHOR, an Industry University Cooperative Research Center sponsored by the National Science Foundation. The center focuses on using the tools of computational surgery to drive improvements in the hospital operating room. In her role, she interacts extensively with researchers, industry members and all other stakeholders, building relationships and innovative capacity.
Dr. Kallhoff received her Ph.D. in Human and Molecular Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine and an MBA from University of Houston- Clear Lake. Her prior positions included Senior Research Analyst and Project Leader at Integrated Health Concepts, and Administrative Fellow at Houston Methodist Research Institute.
Dr. Kallhoff has a strong interest in facilitating the interaction and communication between industry, research and patient care teams to allow for synergies to materialize in advancing scientific knowledge and improving patient outcome.
