Amy Shatsky

Amy Shatsky is the Producer of the PBS documentary series, Independent Lens, overseeing the production of Independent Lens films that have garnered numerous awards over the years including Primetime Emmy Awards, News and Documentary Emmy Awards, Academy Award Nominations, DuPont Awards and Peabody Awards. She supervises the contracting, editing, packaging and delivery of all films for broadcast. In addition, she manages a portfolio of ITVS-funded films, and provides content development feedback to filmmakers.

Amy joined Independent Lens and ITVS after more than 15 years producing documentaries and narrative films in New York City. Her credits include award-winning films and television programs for HBO, PBS, Disney Channel, Starz Encore, Comedy Central, and others, which have premiered at such venues as Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca and the Toronto Film Festival. Amy holds an MFA in film production from New York University and a BA from Cornell University.
