Estela Renner

Estela Renner is a film director, writer, producer, and co-founder of the social and environmental impact base studio Maria Farinha Films. Having produced over 40 films, Estela is the creator, writer, and director of the scripted series Aruanas, which takes place on the Amazon, and was seen by over 30 million people. She also wrote and directed several worldwide distributed documentaries such as: “Way Beyond Weight” and “The Beginning of Life," which reached millions and had an unprecedented impact. Themes within her work: climate justice, gender equity, and indigenous rights. She co-created and co-produced the groundbreaking documentary The Future is Ancestral. This film expresses the profound interconnectedness of everyone and nature when indigenous songs and tech music meet.
