Mr. Sorush Shawn Abboud started his career on Wall Street as an intern at Paine Webber in 1999. Since that time, Mr. Abboud has spent a majority of the last 19 years primarily as an institutional investor before joining Morgan Stanley in 2015. Mr. Abboud earned his stripes as a fixed income research analyst and trader for Goldman Sachs’ distressed credit and special situations unit in New York City before becoming senior analyst at Och Ziff Capital (OZ) prior to their IPO in 2007. In 2009, Mr. Abboud left OZ to join Fulcrum Capital (Fulcrum) as a Managing Principal along with another senior analyst from OZ, to start Fulcrum’s asset management practice, Fulcrum Credit Partners. Fulcrum Credit Partner's focus was on buying & selling non-securities, specifically bankruptcy trade claims, litigation claims & bank debt in bankrupt estates across the globe in the years after the 2008 Financial Crisis. Mr. Abboud was a Managing Principal at Fulcrum for over 5 years, running the firm’s practice in Dubai, UAE for 3 years where he was chiefly responsible for managing a team of credit traders focused on trading risk in Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and Eastern Europe. After the firm's first fund created significant value for its limited partners over 3 years, and prior to raising the firm's second fund, Mr. Abboud sold his stake in Fulcrum, retired from the firm and moved his wife back to Austin, Texas. After taking time off away from the business as part of his non-compete agreement, Mr. Abboud returned to Wall Street in order to manage private client capital for high net worth families, celebrities and professional athletes in a family office setting at Morgan Stanley.

Mr. Abboud received his BBA from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business, his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) Designation and is a National Football League Player Association (NFLPA) Registered Player Financial Advisor.
