Rachel Wolbers

Policy Dir

Rachel is the Policy Director at Engine, a non-profit technology policy, research and advocacy organization that bridges the gap between policymakers and startups. Rachel works with startups and various stakeholders in DC to drive a public policy agenda that helps create and grow startup ecosystems nationwide. Prior to Engine, Rachel lobbied for TwinLogic Strategies, an all-female consulting firm in DC.
Rachel worked on Capitol Hill for several years where she served as Legal Counsel for Congressman Blake Farenthold, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, handling all of his tech and telecom portfolio. She has also experience as a Legal Fellow for the Ways and Means Committee, Subcommittee on Trade.

Rachel received her B.A. from The George Washington university in International Economics and her J.D. from Case Wester Reserve university of Law (where Rachel served as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Law, Technology and the Internet and focused on IP law).
