Tom Waller
Tom Waller is the Senior Vice President of Whitespace™, lululemon’s in-house innovation and R&D team. Tom leads a team of inventors, engineers and scientists committed to building lululemon’s future guest experience through the discovery and application of industry-shifting initiatives.
Tom’s focus is to enable human potential with an expertise that was honed as a pivotal member of the Sports Technology Institute, the largest of its kind in the world, based at Loughborough University in the UK. His experience in the application of technology to enhance athlete performance has inspired a novel methodology for innovation in the sporting goods industry. This has been tested on the global stage with projects supported by many of the world’s largest athletic brands. The successes have assisted in breakthrough consumer products, international publications, gold medals, world records and championship titles for several Olympic & Paralympic teams, Soccer and Rugby World Cup tournaments and for the NBA.
He is an executive board member for ProMotion, a children’s sports charity and he is also a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Sports Engineering & Technology. Tom has presented two TEDx talks on the topic of innovation and human performance and is a competitive triathlete in his limited spare time.
