Kristi Henderson
Earning a bachelor’s degree from Howard University and a master’s in Social Policy & Planning from The London School of Economics, Kristi Henderson is uniquely positioned at the intersection of popular culture, philanthropy, and influencer marketing. Kristi’s commitment to issues directly impacting communities of color, women and girls fuels her commitment to leading effective non-traditional partnerships and marketing campaigns with private, public and nonprofit organizations. Kristi’s fifteen plus years of expertise in influencer marketing, public relations, and crisis communications has proven extremely valuable in her work with organizations like American Airlines, Ocean Spray, Microsoft, The United States Customs Service, Weber Shandwick Worldwide, Time Inc./Essence, Proctor & Gamble, Heineken, Hennessy, Vibe Media Group, The New Jersey Performing Arts Center, former Director of Communications Campaigns for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and currently Sr. Director of Influencer Engagement at Color Of Change. She is also a co-founder of The Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN). WEEN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization comprised of more than 55,000 members committed to defending the balanced and positive portrayal of women in entertainment and the media through the mentorship of young women of color. Kristi was raised in Warrenton, North Carolina and has lived in Washington, DC, New York, London and the Dominican Republic.
