Emily Epstein
Emily Anne Epstein is the Executive Editor of News at Bustle, the largest independent website for millennial women with 50 million unique readers monthly. Most recently Epstein was a senior editor at The Atlantic, where she helped lead the company’s most ambitious projects. Epstein was an integral part of the team that was awarded the 2016 Digiday Award for Best Publishing Site Design, and the 2016 ASME National Magazine of the Year Award. She came to The Atlantic from The Wire, Atlantic Media’s millennial-focused general interest news site. Previously, she served as the Managing Editor of the New York Observer, where she led a 30-person newsroom in the publication of a weekly newspaper and daily website. A seasoned reporter and photojournalist, she has a decade of news experience, having worked for outlets such as the Mail Online, Metro.US, NewsDay and The New York Times. Epstein is the creative director of the Newswomen’s Club of New York and graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University.
