Colonel Jennifer Sovada is the Special Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance, Headquarters, U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. where she is the lead for outreach and engagement to think tanks, academia, non-profits, NGOs, start-up companies and other private sector organizations. She is focused on building relationships and increasing information sharing by enhancing awareness and transparency with non-traditional partners on topics related to analysis, acquisition reform, S&T, innovation and others.

Colonel Sovada is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and holds several masters degrees related to National Security, Strategy and Intelligence. Prior to assuming her current positon, Colonel Sovada was the wing commander of the Air Force Technical Applications Center at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, the sole organization in the Department of Defense charged with conducting nuclear treaty monitoring.

She is a career intelligence officer who has commanded a wing, an intelligence squadron and served at the squadron, center, major command, joint, service, and interagency levels.
