Andrew Elbardissi
Dr. Andrew ElBardissi, M.D. served as a Vice President at Longitude Capital Management Co., LLC. Prior to joining Longitude Capital in 2014, Dr. ElBardissi served as an Associate in J.P. Morgan’s Healthcare Investment Banking practice where he served clients in biotechnology, medical technology and healthcare services, with a focus on strategic Merger and Acquisition as well as equity and debt issuances. He is independently funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and has over 30 publications in leading peer reviewed scientific journals and has presented his research at numerous medical and surgical conferences. Dr. ElBardissi was focusing on investments in medical devices.
He is an investor on the Private Transactions team at Deerfield Management Company and has previously held roles as an early stage life-sciences venture investor and investment banker. Dr. ElBardissi has significant investment experience in the healthcare sector. Dr. ElBardissi has been Director of Conventus Orthopaedics, Inc. since June 26, 2017 and NeoChord, Inc. since July 10, 2017. Dr. ElBardissi received residency training in General Surgery at Harvard Medical School's Brigham and Women’s Hospital and in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Stanford University. Dr. ElBardissi holds an M.D. from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, an M.P.H. in Quantitative Methods from Harvard University, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. with honors in Biology (Phi Beta Kappa) from the Schreyer Honors College.
