Taboo
The multi-talented Jimmy Gomez, also known to his bandmates and fans as “Taboo” is not just a member of the global chart topping sensation, The Black Eyed Peas, but also an accomplished dancer, actor and author.
Born in East Los Angeles, Taboo followed his dream of being an entertainer and rose from humble beginnings to unimaginable success.
Having sold over 65 million records worldwide, the Grammy-award winner has brought his enigmatic fusion of pop, hip-hop and dance music to a huge global audience. Not only is Taboo a driving force behind BEP’s return to the spotlight in 2018, he has also focused his attention towards his humanitarian goals.
A cancer survivor himself since 2015, Taboo became a global ambassador for the American Cancer Society in 2016 and in 2017 joined the board of the Joe Biden Cancer Initiative. Taboo’s primary goal is to use his voice and experience to inspire movement, healthy living and to raise awareness around cancer prevention and survivors’ mental health.
