David Kay
David is the first employee at Memphis Meats, a startup developing a way to produce real meat by growing animal cells, without the need to raise and slaughter actual animals. Memphis Meats is the leading clean meat company, having obtained investment from DFJ, Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Tyson Foods, Cargill, Kimbal Musk, Suzy & Jack Welch and Atomico. By removing animals from meat production, Memphis Meats aims to significantly improve the environment, animal welfare and public health.
David manages the company's communication and sustainability efforts. He frequently represents the company at conferences and speaking events, including the Barilla Foundation's 2017 conference in Milan.
