Louis Green
Louis Green is a nationally known expert in the fields of procurement, supply chain management, and supplier diversity. His 25-plus years of experience have made him an industry leader on SME growth and development. Mr. Green is currently serving in dual leadership roles, as CEO of Supplier Success, LLC and as Interim President of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). In his role as CEO of Supplier Success, LLC, Mr. Green focuses on unlocking cash flow in the supply chain, delivering financial benefits to major corporations and their suppliers, with a particular focus on diverse businesses. Supplier Success offers a suite of corporate supplier finance tools and services, including supply chain finance and virtual credit card solutions, as well as various lending products for suppliers themselves. In addition to Supplier Success’ product offerings, Mr. Green offers consulting focused on private equity funding, diverse joint ventures, and supplier diversity best practices. Prior to founding Supplier Success, Mr. Green served as the President & CEO of the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC) for nine years. During his tenure, the Michigan Council was awarded Regional Council of the Year three times, and he was trusted by corporate decision makers across the United States to facilitate over $138 billion dollars in contracts to small and medium firms, as well as over $6 billion in financing. In 2014, Mr. Green created a new $100 million Minority Business Access Fund at the MMSDC to provide financing — at or below bank rates — for small and medium sized businesses. Mr. Green has previously held positions as National Director of Supplier Diversity for General Electric Co. and NBC Universal, and before that, served as Supplier Diversity and Social Responsibility Leader at the University of Michigan. He also served as Chief Deputy Director for the Michigan Civil Rights Department under former Governor John Engler. During his time working for the state, Mr. Green acted as Interim Director and led an executive search for the next Director of the state’s Civil Rights Department. Louis Green received his B.A. from Oberlin College and his M.A. in International Economic Policy from the University of Michigan.
