Ross Allen
Ross Allen joined the British government’s Department for International Trade in August 2016 as Director USA. He leads a dynamic team who assist British companies exporting to the US and work with US companies looking to invest in the UK.
Ross joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in 2001. He has extensive experience in foreign policy, crisis management and communications.
During his career he has run the FCO’s Consular Assistance Department, was foreign and defence policy advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg; and was the Minister for Europe's press officer during ratification of the EU Lisbon Treaty. He has also worked in commercial banking on secondment.
Ross supports Crystal Palace football club in the English Premier League and is gradually figuring out baseball by following the New York Mets. He is married with two young children.
