Chris Walker
Christopher (Chris) M. Walker is vice president in the Client Computing Group and general manager of Mobility Client Platform Group at Intel Corporation. He is responsible for Intel’s mobile client PnL inclusive of roadmap and positioning across engineering, customers and product marketing for notebooks, 2 in 1s and tablets. He also holds PnL responsibility over Thunderbolt, WIFI, and client LAN as well as new initiatives such as Converged Mobility.
Walker has held a variety of operational, finance and marketing roles throughout his Intel career, including international assignments. Before assuming his current position, he spent two years as general manager for tablet and mobile PC processors, with responsibility for rapidly growing volume, platform strategy, product positioning, customer design wins and product marketing. From 2008 to 2012, Walker led Intel® architecture business development initiatives, with a focus on new growth areas for the company and strategies in graphics, consumer electronics devices and new business partner relationships in China. Earlier in his Intel career, he directed microprocessor marketing and business planning, including pricing, forecasting, and managing supply and demand for Intel CPUs and chipsets worldwide. Walker joined Intel in 1993 as a production planner for processors in the company’s Military Division.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Carnegie Mellon University.
