Katherine Nammacher

Katherine is the CEO at RideAlong, a government technology startup. She spoke at the White House as a Subject Matter Expert as part of the Data-Driven Justice convening in 2016. After founding RideAlong, the company was backed by Y Combinator (Summer 2017 batch), chosen for the City of San Francisco’s competitive Start-Up In Residency (STIR) program, and included as Subject Matter Experts to build A National Toolkit on Improve Police Responses to People with Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disabilities (a grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance under the DOJ). RideAlong won a national govtech award at SXSW. RideAlong is currently launched with the Seattle Police Department, and expanding.
Before co-founding RideAlong, Katherine worked in civic tech through both Code for America (2016 Fellow) and Microsoft (Civic Innovation Fellow in 2015). She has also worked at the Exploratorium, the Oakland Museum of California, and AmeriCorps NCCC. Katherine holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).
