Sam Hobish
An industrial designer by training, Sam strives to create objects and experiences that are visually striking and deliberately designed but ultimately realized through human use. From prosthetics to musical instruments and outdoors equipment, Sam is passionate about making things that drive curiosity, spark passions and develop skills.
Sam currently serves as LimbForge’s Creative Director and Lead Designer, strategizing and implementing all design and branding initiatives for the organization.
Previously, Sam worked at Pier 9, Autodesk’s advanced prototyping facility where he lead various design initiatives for the Autodesk Hardware Team. Sam also serves as a founding board member for Born Just Right, a non-for-profit that helps children with physical differences use design as a means for empowerment.
Sam has an M.F.A. in Industrial Design from California College of the Arts and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan. In a previous career, Sam worked as a Communications Director for political campaigns. In his free time, Sam plays the mandolin and sports with balls. His work has been featured by Fast Company, CNN, Shark Tank, Autodesk, The Design Museum Foundation and many others.
