Jill Leyden is the Customer Experience Administrator for Trademarks. She is responsible for enhancing customer experience for trademark customers across all touchpoints. Prior to joining the Trademarks team, Jill worked in the Office of the Under Secretary as the USPTO website editor-in-chief. Before coming to the USPTO, Jill worked for Exelis Inc., a top-tier aerospace and defense company, as a communications manager. She also managed the company’s corporate philanthropy program, which included global communication development, employee engagement, and the use of customer relationship management technology. Jill served on active duty in the Marine Corps for eight years as a public affairs officer. Her service included a deployment to Fallujah, Iraq in 2006. She remains a reservist assigned to the Pentagon and is the communications director for the Marine Corps Executive Forum, a community relations program. She holds a master’s degree in Communication and Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University and has worked in various aspects of communication, public affairs, and customer experience throughout her career.
