Michele Beno is the Director of Marketing for VICELAND at VICE Media, where she leads marketing for the VICELAND brand and all programming. She has over a decade of experience in the entertainment industry with a focus on brand building, market development, partnerships and product marketing through compelling creative, experiences and promotions. As a key member of the core team that launched VICELAND, she was instrumental in establishing the brand positioning, media strategy and marketplace execution for the TV network’s consumer, trade and partner touch points. Prior to VICELAND, Michele spent 8 years at HBO where she spearheaded strategic initiatives geared towards growing brand recognition, loyalty, product adoption and distribution for HBO GO and HBO NOW among the millennial market. She also managed the HBO Latino brand and HBO’s market growth strategies among retail, trade, mobile and distribution partners. Michele’s campaigns have received numerous awards and accolades for their creativity, innovation and diverse storytelling, including a 2017 Emmy for “Outstanding Short Form Nonfiction or Reality Series” for VICELAND at the Women’s March. She is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, where she learned to brave extreme weather, appreciate curling and trade in NYC bagels for poutine.
