Allard Cantor
New York City born, New Jersey bred, and University of Wisconsin educated, Allard Cantor started life as an envelope salesman in Manhattan before choosing to follow his passion for film and moving to LA. He attended the American Film Institute, graduating from their prestigious producing program while discovering an aptitude for helping writers develop their material—a skill which, combined with his years of sales experience, led to an organic shift into management. After a period of working as an independent producer, Allard began taking on clients from his projects.
In 2012, Allard met his partner Jarrod Murray, and EPICENTER was born. Beginning with a handful of talented and diverse clients, Epicenter is proud to be a premiere home of excellent character-and-voice-driven material for all genres and audiences and most recently celebrated its 5th anniversary of burgeoning business. Specializing in find new talent and honing raw, unheard voices, Epicenter helped break clients on various television staffs including ONCE UPON A TIME, THE STRAIN, MARS, PREACHER, Beau Willimon’s THE FIRST, and Damon LIndelof’s WATCHMEN. Clients have also sold projects to Dreamworks, TBS, USA, CW, CBS, Fox, ABC Family, Fremantle, Netflix, Amazon, and Nickelodeon. Epicenter’s most recent success stories include a client creating POSE (FX) with Ryan Murphy, two network pilots sold this development season, a feature spec sold to Sony in a competitive situation, and two clients landing three picture deals at major studios.
Allard and Jarrod are currently executive producing A LETTER FROM ROSEMARY KENNEDY (with producers David Goyer, Kevin Turen, Jason Berman) starring Elisabeth Moss.
