Emily Quinn
"Emily is an intersex artist, animator, and adventurer who loves alliteration. She received her BFA in Animation in 2012 and has spent the last few years working on Cartoon Network’s Emmy Award-winning “Adventure Time.”
She became impassioned with advocating for the intersex community when she met other intersex folk for the first time in 2013. She joined the interACT youth program, and became one of the key contacts in developing the intersex character Lauren, on MTV’s Faking It. She publicly came out as intersex at the premiere of Faking It’s second season.
Emily has since been featured in an array of diverse media, including Teen Vogue, The Washington Post, PopSugar, Vice, and BuzzFeed. She left Cartoon Network in March of 2015 to take a position at interACT, where she works today as the Communication Manager. She hopes to continue raising awareness about intersex experiences through various media projects, including her youtube channel, intersexperiences."
