Kimberly Houser
Kimberly A. Houser is a University of Texas football fan who also happens to be a social media law professor and tech attorney. Aside from rooting for her alma mater, Kimberly conducts research in a variety of topics. Dr. Houser’s research includes privacy, big data, marijuana legalization and tax issues, and unconscious bias/gender diversity issues. She is the author of The Legal Guide to Social Media, a creator of digital media content for Pearson’s Business Law online curriculum, and has been published in the Vanderbilt Journal of Technology and Entertainment, Tax Notes, and the Tax Adviser. She is a frequent speaker on her research interests and serves as General Counsel to an Austin, Texas tech firm. When Kimberly is not teaching students, researching legal issues relating to privacy and big data, or talking about how the IRS is stalking us, she loves playing fantasy football. One of her proudest moments was serving as a Guest Football Coach for the WSU football team.
