David Steinwedell

David Steinwedell is the President and CEO of Affordable Central Texas (ACT), which is the sponsor and investment manager of the Austin Housing Conservancy (ACH). ACH is a first-of-its-kind, private equity, open-end, social impact preservation fund focused on preserving existing multifamily properties for workforce families and individuals.

Steinwedell has a 30+ year career in commercial real estate investing on behalf of institutions and high net worth individuals in REIT and fund formats. He has led organizations that have completed over $15 billion in transactions in multiple property types and in markets across the country.

Prior to ACT, he was Executive Director for the Urban Land Institute in Austin addressing issues of affordability, transportation and the intersection of music and real estate. Steinwedell lives in Austin and is a graduate of Hamilton College.
