Johnny Kelly

Johnny is the Founder and Managing Partner of J9 Partners in Austin, Texas. J9 Partners was formed to assist the Austin startup ecosystem connect with investors and strategic partners on the coasts.

Johnny began his career as a Financial Analyst in Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management Division, a boutique division of the firm catering exclusively to ultra high net worth individuals and families, foundations and endowments with at least $20mm in liquid assets.

At the conclusion of the formal two-year training program, Johnny was the only member of the class promoted directly to the MBA Associate Program and at age 28 became the youngest Private Wealth Advisor in the country at the time.

Johnny is a 2003 graduate of Williams College where he competed on the Varsity Football and Lacrosse teams. He is also a mentor at the Founder Institute and Galvanize and serves as a judge for MassChallenge Texas.
