Daniel Seligman
Toronto native Dan Seligman, founder of the POP Montreal music festival, has helped make Montreal a global hotbed of indie music. He managed industry darlings Stars for three year, eccentric Jewish hip-hop innovator Socalled for more than a decade and has recently started working with R&B wunderkind Un Blonde. An early and loyal promoter of Arcade Fire, Seligman has a reputation for booking critical shows for artists on the cusp of stardom, like Grimes, Plants & Animals and the Unicorns. As the Creative Director of POP for over 15 years, Seligman is responsible for bringing legends like Patti Smith, Mary Margaret O’Hara and the Mighty Sparrow to Montreal, as well as nurturing local artists to become legends themselves.
