Martin Broome

Martin Broome, PhD, Portfolio and Alliance Manager at the CHLA Office of Technology Commercialization, experienced in technology licensing, intellectual property management, industry partnerships and start-up formation. Martin specializes in the assessment of therapeutic preclinical research for translational and commercial potential. Prior to joining CHLA, he worked as a Principal Scientist at Amgen in Oncology Research where he discovered novel cancer targets, led drug discovery projects, evaluated licensing opportunities and managed research alliances. He received his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from UCSD after completing his graduate studies at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Martin’s professional organization memberships include AUTM, AACR, Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi.
