Jeff Halstead retired as the 24th Chief of Police for the Fort Worth Police Department in 2015. He led over 2,000 dedicated employees, serving a community of 800,000 residents. Before moving to Fort Worth, Chief Halstead retired from the Phoenix Police Department as a Police Commander after a 20 year career. He served 28+ years in law enforcement.

For over 6 years in Fort Worth, Chief Halstead and his team worked tirelessly to implement many innovative programs making the police department more efficient and increased service delivery to all citizens. He was credited for advancing numerous technology programs including over 625 AXON “body-worn” camera systems within 3 years. Chief Halstead was also credited with a 24% reduction in overall crime with no increases in staffing through intelligence led policing.

In 2015, Chief Halstead created “The Halstead Group”, a law enforcement consulting business, so he can share his experiences and successes with other police agencies and police administrators. He has traveled to 30+ states in America as well as 8 other Countries. He just released a free App created just for Police called "BLUE". www.bluetheapp.com This App provides immediate intelligence-sharing through a patented communications portal so law enforcement can share any/all intelligence immediately, and directly to every Officer's smartphone.

Jeff Halstead has been married for 30 years to his lovely wife Kim and enjoys an active life in Las Vegas. They have two adult sons, Jack & Jordan.
