Ezekiel Harris
I'm the Executive Director of MACC Development, former semi-pro soccer player/color commentator with Detroit City FC and a Knight Foundation Emerging City Champion, a fellowship that empowers future leaders to shape their cities today.
I was also a Design Coach and Guest Lecturer at Civilla: Center for Social Innovation, was the Social Impact Designer of United Way of Southeastern Michigan's Venture lab for two years where I launched 5+ large scale projects based on human-centered design research.
Previously, I worked with Challenge Detroit as Design Fellow and Senior Fellow guiding and leading current fellows through the design thinking process to tackle challenge projects more creatively. I was a Social Impact Fellow for Diplomat Special Pharmacy using iterative prototyping and lean start-up methods to create and discover solutions for the greatest social impact in urban communities. Lastly, I worked as a Recruitment/Marketing Specialist at Big Brothers Big sister in Flint, Michigan where I created and managed the rollout of a new visual marketing strategic plan to aid in the revival of the 100 Men 100 Boys program.
I'm an active member of the Lower Eastside Action Plan Committee and serve on the boards of the Community Development Advocates of Detroit (CDAD) and Arts & Scraps, a non-profit that reimagines recycled materials to serve 275,000 children annually.
