Catherine Harris-White

Catherine Harris-White (SassyBlack) is a self-proclaimed "psychedelic electronic soul songstress and producer" from Seattle, Washington. With musical roots in classical and jazz, Sassy has also been compared vocally to Ella Fitzgerald and Erykah Badu, with musical production reminiscent of Herbie Hancock and Pharrell Williams.

After receiving a BA in music from Cornish College of the Arts (2008), SassyBlack's been traveling the world sharing her music. You may also know her as half of the now defunct duo THEESatisfaction and her appearances on Shabazz Palaces' albums Black Up and Lese Majesty (Sub Pop Records). Over the past 3 years Sassy has released 9 projects including two albums No More Weak Dates (2016) & New Black Swing (2017).
