Maxine Trent
A self-described “neuro-geek”, Maxine Trent, LPC, LMFT, is Director of Staff Support at Baylor Scott and White Healthcare System. She developed a trauma informed program that addresses primary and secondary trauma in the healthcare setting and led a team of Scott and White Military Homefront Therapists as they helped the deployed military community. This group also supported those affected by the Nov. 5, 2009 massacre at Ft. Hood Texas. Maxine has 25+ years of practical experience as a therapist, educator and program architect/manager specializing in trauma prevention, intervention and remediation. Maxine is trained in Neuro and Bio feedback, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing and Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Activities. She is an EMDRIA Certified Consultant and a clinical supervisor for LPC & LMFT. In her spare time, Maxine resets her own neurobiology while trail riding on her beautiful quarter horse mare, Gracie.
